Genealogy is the study of family relationships using the vital records of birth, marriage, death etc. In our family history group, we go further and look at past events and their social context. The monthly meetings usually centre round a specific topic, followed by lively discussion. Our more expert members give advice and assistance to those who may be new and less familiar with tracing their ancestors.
