The film group meets once a month to watch a movie that has been carefully selected for the enjoyment of members attending.

Group Objective – to watch films covering old classics, an occasional foreign film and more recent ones then discuss as a Group what the film meant to members including things like overall enjoyment, quality of acting, cinematography and the story itself.

The dates for 2025/2026 meetings of the Film Club have now been agreed and will take place on the last Friday of September and second last Friday of each month from October 2025 till June 2026. All meetings will start at 10.15 am for 10.30 am film start.

Once again we  we have managed to procure the fantastic resource at Morrisons in Falkirk and are able to use their excellent Community Room free of charge.

A week prior to the meeting the Group Organiser emails all the members with details of the upcoming film which will be shown via projector. Each film carefully selected by the Organiser will have a run time of around 1 hour 30 minutes but under no circumstances lasting any longer than 2 hours. At the end of the film showing there will be an opportunity for members to discuss the film.
